Founded in Henderson, Nevada, in 1999 with a College of Pharmacy, RUHS has experienced phenomenal growth and has expanded to include a College of Nursing (2006), a College of Dental Medicine (2007), and a College of Medicine (in development). The Director of the Nurse Anesthesiology Program (NAP) is a faculty member with administrative and teaching responsibilities in the graduate program.
- Master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited university required.
- Doctoral degree in anesthesiology nursing, or equivalent, from a regionally accredited university required.
- Graduate from a program of anesthesiology nursing accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the COA of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- Hold current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.
- Current unrestricted Nevada or Utah license as an APRN (nurse anesthetist).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an active practicing nurse anesthetist.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a didactic and/or clinical instructor in an accredited nurse anesthesiology program, with formal instruction in curriculum, evaluation, and instruction.
- Experience with accrediting bodies and accreditation processes/requirements.
This position will be located at either our Henderson, Nevada campus or our South Jordan, Utah campus.
