The Sales Associate assists the Store Management Team in the overall operations of the store to maximize collections, production, sales, salvage and customer service.

• Ensure that quality customer service is presented and provided in a timely and courteous manner to all customers, donors and other employees.
• Maximize sales performance through proper presentation of merchandise.
• Adhere to proper cash handling policies and procedures.
• Comply with dress code policy.
• Work in assigned department performing straightening, cleaning, stocking, and pulling goods daily.
• Handle minor customer complaints and concerns in an effective manner.
• Complete any other assignments designated by the management team.
• Ensure that store and surrounding premises are kept clean and free of safety hazards, and that safety procedures are understood and followed by all store employees.
• Ensure compliance with all Goodwill of Southern Nevada (GWSN) policies, the Team Member Goodwill Guidebook, Goodwill Industries International standards, and safety and security regulations.
• Adhere to all GWSN Manuals, handbooks, policies and procedures.

• Minimum of 1 year of retail experience or excellent cash handling experience.
• Ability to work in an open warehouse environment exposed to various weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat, humidity and cold.
• High school/ GED completion.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work as a member of a team.
• Reading and writing proficiency.
• Ability to perform repetitive work at a set pace.
• Strong interpersonal skills and command of the English language to work with customers and employees.
• Meet qualitative and quantitative performance standards established by the company.
• Exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.
• Demonstrate high adaptability and flexibility.
• No record of criminal conviction within 7 years indicating theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior.
• Provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Lift/Carry: 50lbs. Push/Pull: 100 lbs. Environmental Factors:
Dust and animal hair may be present in the warehouse/backroom throughout the year. The position is generally standing or walking, with some bending, kneeling and lifting required when dealing with merchandise or donations. Work may occur outdoors where heating or cooling is not available, exposing workers to heat, cold, dust and sometimes humidity.
