Smart & Final store operations team (Chedraui USA) is hiring a Part-time Associate for our location at 10050 Eastern Avenue, Henderson, Nevada, 89052.

Starting rate: $15.00 per hour.

• Read and write English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 45 lbs, occasionally up to 60 lbs.

The Part‑Time Associate reports to the Store Manager and performs duties assigned by management, including receiving inventory, stocking and maintaining a store section, operating a cash register, providing carry‑out services, and store cleaning.

• Maintain assigned store section, order, receive, and stock merchandise with proper equipment; ensure proper pricing and product rotation; set up displays; review invoices for accuracy.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot per store management directives.
• Operate a cash register, receive payment, make change or process checks/charge/debit transactions; process cash or credit refunds approved by management; verify customer eligibility for alcoholic beverages.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous assistance to customers; load purchases for customers to vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties; record lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
