WHO ARE WE?Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events in the world. Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe.
THE ROLEOur global shipping and logistics manager is responsible for the global supply chain management of our Racing and Festival event apparel operations divisions, ensuring that goods and materials are moved, monitored, and managed. They oversee a variety of operations, including transportation, warehouse operations, inventory management, import and export processes, purchasing, production planning, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Must have global product shipping experience using freight forwarding companies.
- Clear experience in product shipping costing and global duties to the following regions; EU, APAC and Middle East.
- Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to manage project timelines, including developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on‑time delivery of supplier products against event timing.
- Communicate key supply, cost, and/or quality issues with management teams as well as develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks.
- Planning transportation and distribution routes.
- Working with customs and freight forwarders to properly document and move freight to 22 countries.
- Import and Export Process Creation and Optimization.
- Directing fleets.
- Analyzing freight budgets and billing.
- Processing inbound and outbound shipments.
- Supervising warehouse functions.
- Creating optimal receipt, dispatching, and storage procedures.
- Tracking and tracing orders.
- Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments.
- Managing transportation documentation.
- Managing orders.
- Recruit, hire, train and onboard various team members as needed.
- Various special projects and tasks as needed.
- All other projects and initiatives as identified.
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
- 5+ years’ experience in global logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of international and domestic shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Proven ability to optimize logistics and/or supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Exceptional ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, external partners, and lead a team.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in analyzing data to drive operational improvements.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong analytical, process‑oriented, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and IT systems.
- Experience in analyzing data to drive operational improvements.
- Proven ability to problem‑solve and communicate in a professional manner.
- Sterling reputation for excellence in the required role with at least five top‑notch references.
- Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude.
- Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small.
Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines.
Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event location.
Must be able to work in open concept office space.
