The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non‑profit, faith‑based organization, has an opening for a Summer Camp Youth Development Professional for The Salvation Army Community Red Shield Club & Community Center of Henderson, NC.
Job SummarySupervises and leads youth activities and programs for the Summer Camp program. Maintains records of program attendance. Maintains program facilities, equipment, and materials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of the proper rules and techniques of common childhood games and recreational activities.
- Ability to teach children Christian values as well as general early childhood education curriculum.
- Ability to facilitate and lead age‑appropriate childhood programs and activities.
High School Diploma or G.E.D., and one year experience leading youth activities, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements /Working ConditionsWork is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
