Essential Job Duties
The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) serves all NC State students through academic affairs, student affairs, and University College. The TRIO Programs, including the 21st Century Community Learning Center, provide academic enrichment to low‑income, first‑generation students from middle school through college, with a mission to offer equal access to quality education and encourage participants to enroll and graduate.
As Instructor/Tutor, you will focus on providing instruction and one‑to‑one or group tutorial services to 21st Century Community Learning Center students. Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting participants in academic skill building for core curriculum courses, especially rigorous curriculum courses.
- Conducting or securing facilitators for Special Labs, which may include instruction in ACT test prep, STEM exposure and instruments, workforce development skills, family enrichment activities, and more.
