Base pay range$22.00/hr - $27.00/hr
Ready to own an automated line from setup to shipment?If dialing in machine parameters, reading blueprints, and keeping output within microns of spec sounds like your sweet spot, this role is for you. You'll be the go‑to specialist for automated cutting, profiling, trimming, wrapping, and packaging of flooring trims—keeping safety, quality, and uptime front and center.
Your impact- Prepare new production runs: swap tooling, perform calibrations, and program product parameters at the HMI.
- Run and monitor automated equipment end‑to‑end, from raw material feed to packaged product.
- Confirm material setup and perform inspections to ensure visual, dimensional, and quality compliance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process issues quickly to limit downtime.
- Make basic mechanical adjustments; elevate complex repairs to maintenance and collaborate on solutions.
- Capture accurate records—batches, quality checks, downtime, and maintenance—per QMS procedures.
- Carry out preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, component checks) to sustain reliability.
- Work with quality and engineering to implement corrective actions and continuous improvements.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, including PPE and lockout/tagout.
- Coach junior operators to build consistency and capability across shifts.
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade certification preferred.
- 5–7 years operating automated or CNC machinery in manufacturing; flooring/wood/building materials exposure preferred.
- Hands‑on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and process domains.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and OEM manuals.
- Comfort in ISO 9001 or equivalent QMS environments (preferred).
- Proficient with measurement tools: calipers, tape measures, gauges.
- Computer savvy with HMI experience.
- Meticulous, safety‑first mindset; strong attention to detail.
- Track record of independent work and effective teamwork.
- Standing and machine operation for 8–12 hours.
- Lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movement.
- Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and temperature changes.
- Full‑time; day, evening, or weekend shifts may be assigned based on production demand.
Experience as a CNC Operator, Machine Technician, Extrusion Operator, Production Machine Lead, or Manufacturing Operator translates well.
