OR RN-$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS - . The role of the operating room (OR) nurse or perioperative nurse is to provide care for patients before and after surgery or surgical procedures. The Registered Nurse in Surgical Services is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, coordinating, providing and evaluating peri-operative nursing care for patients based on current standards of practice/standards of care as appropriate for the ages of the patient.
Supervises continuity of care in accordance with the nursing needs during the pre-operative and post-anesthesia phases of hospitalization. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members. Understands the needs of the organization, and supports the missions, values, and management of patient care.
Provide care for patients before and after surgery or surgical procedures; assess, plan, coordinate, provide and evaluate peri-operative nursing care; supervise continuity of care during pre-operative and post-anesthesia phases; interact effectively with patients, families, and health team members; support organizational missions, values, and patient care management.
Qualifications- Current North Carolina or Multi State Registered Nursing Licensure and six (6) months experience as an RN in the OR required, 12 months preferred.
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certification (classes offered).
