SummaryAs a core faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, the assistant professor or associate professor in this position is responsible for teaching courses within the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, engaging in scholarly activity, and conducting committee work as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teaches courses within the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program with a total load of up to twenty-seven hours per academic year (approximately 7 graduate courses per year).
- Participates in student recruitment and promotion.
- Assists the Director of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and other core faculty in the ongoing evaluation of applicants, students, and candidates in the program as a core faculty member of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
- Assists the Department Chair, Director of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, and other core-faculty in the ongoing evaluation of and improvement of the program as a core faculty member of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
- Evaluates student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes related to Clinical Mental Health Counseling knowledge and practice.
- Maintains a minimum of 10 office hours per week for student availability.
- Schedules administrative time for classroom preparation.
- Engages in scholarly research or other creative achievement activity.
- Serves on university committees as assigned.
- Conducts servant leadership in the community.
- Abides by all University policies governing behavior and in fulfillment of job requirements.
- Performs temporary duties as assigned to maintain operations and services.
