Description

The Kilgore News Herald, part of the largest marketing company in East Texas, seeks a self-motivated, success-driven Multimedia Sales Consultant to call on advertising clients and potential clients for the Kilgore News Herald.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to sell print, digital, and niche product advertising space to new and existing clients through in-person and phone sales, including setting up sales presentations.
• Seek and close new advertising revenue.
• Meet individual sales goals.
• Calculate rates and quotes accurately for customers.
• Collaborate with Creative Services team and sales assistants to develop effective ads.
• Accurately process ad changes and cancellations to enhance customer relations.
• Inquire about billing information with attention to detail.
• Stay informed on marketing and advertising trends, account activity, and billing accuracy using the M. Roberts Media billing system.
• Complete reports such as insertion, expense, and sales reports as required.
• Maintain credits accurately relative to revenue generated.
• Foster a reliable and productive team environment.
• Build good working relationships with team members and managers to achieve goals.
• Remain flexible to new tasks and market changes, embracing new media opportunities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
• Business-to-business sales experience preferred; media/digital sales a plus.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn necessary software.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic business math skills.
• Self-motivated and able to perform with limited supervision.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
