Education & Qualifications
You bring patience, positivity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
Your hands-on experience with young children will help you shine in this role.
- At least 2 years of experience supervising children under age 5
- Experience must be in a professional child-care setting such as a church nursery, YMCA nursery, early childhood program, summer camp, or paid nanny position
What You’ll Do (And Love!)
As a Preschool Afternoon Care Staff person, you’ll help create a safe, engaging end-of-day experience for our youngest learners.
- Assist teachers in providing high-quality care and supervision for children ages 0–5
- Support children with a wide range of learning, emotional, social, and physical needs
- Help maintain a fun, nurturing, and safe environment in classrooms and play areas
- Provide supplemental support wherever needed to ensure smooth daily transitions.
- Engage children in play, learning, and meaningful interaction as they wind down their day
