Role Description
UNC Health Pardee is seeking a full-time OBGYN Generalist to join its dedicated team. This on-site role, based in Hendersonville, NC, involves providing both obstetrical and gynecological care to patients. Responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, performing routine and complex gynecological procedures, delivering babies, providing prenatal and postnatal care, and collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive treatment and a high standard of patient care.
The OBGYN Generalist will also play a key role in patient education and participate in quality improvement initiatives within the organization.
Qualifications
- Specialized knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecological surgeries, and preventive care
- Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and patient management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid and active medical license to practice in North Carolina
- Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and proficiency in relevant medical software
