Bullington Gardens is a non‑profit 501©(3) organization that serves Henderson County and surrounding communities as a botanical garden and a center for horticultural education. It provides programs to students in the Henderson County Public School system and the general public.

North Carolina Cooperative Extension gives our residents easy access to the resources and expertise of NC State University and NC A&T State University. This position is a full‑time (0.9375 FTE), 37.5‑hour‑per‑week position. The position is 100% funded by a combination of revenue from Bullington Gardens, the state, and Henderson County.

• Manage fundraising and member and donor relations, as well as obtain grants to support Bullington Garden’s operations.
• Conduct public speaking and outreach to the community. Use social media to inform the public about Bullington Gardens.
• Coordinate Bullington Garden’s activities with partners: NC Cooperative Extension, Henderson County Public Schools.
• Manage and collaborate closely with the Education Coordinator in supporting programs.
• Collaborate with volunteers by providing support and hands‑on participation in sales and other fundraising events, which are primarily staffed and run by volunteers.
• Conduct day‑to‑day fiscal management, prepare and manage budgets, and ensure reports to government agencies are filed promptly.
• Inform the Board of Directors regularly, and work with the Board to expand and strengthen its capabilities.
• Shape the vision of Bullington Gardens and oversee the property. Along with the board, execute the Strategic Plan and update the Property Master Plan.
