Henderson County EMS is a progressive 911 EMS agency that currently staffs nine dual-paramedic EMS units. Our department serves two local hospitals, one regional trauma center and is supported by a separate agency that handles all convalescent transports. Working 12-hour shifts, our medics can enjoy their time off hiking, biking, and enjoying all the activities that the mountains of western North Carolina have to offer.

Henderson County is accepting applications for full-time positions with Emergency Medical Services. Must have a current North Carolina Paramedic certification or be able to obtain one prior to starting employment. Testing is required and includes written, practical, and physical ability testing. Previous emergency medical service is preferred. Pre-employment screenings required for all finalist applicants.
