Production Machine Operator -(6p-6a)-Beverage Manufacturer

The Production Machine Operator reports to the Production Supervisor and is based out of our Hendersonville, North Carolina location. The operator ensures downstream machines run smoothly, meet specifications, and produce scheduled products while maintaining quality and safety requirements.
Shift: 6 am – 6 pm
- Sign‑On Bonus: $1,000 after 90 days of continuous employment
- Retention Bonuses: two additional $500 bonuses at 6 months and 1 year of employment
- Annual merit increases based on performance
- All bonuses subject to applicable federal and state tax with holdings
- Operate downstream equipment such as the OCME packer, labeler, and palletizer on the aseptic line.
- Verify glue/flow levels, temperature, cleaning schedule, and inventory replenishment.
- Load labels, verify application, enter data in Sherlock, collect samples, and follow change‑over procedures.
- Operate the palletizer, ensuring correct film, case stickers, palletizing pattern, and skid labeling.
- Maintain compliance with cost‑control, waste reduction, product quality, food safety, and employee safety standards.
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining, adjust machine controls, and troubleshoot when quality deficiencies occur.
- Set up equipment for daily production, including mechanical setup and correct recipes.
- Assist with mold changeover during size changes.
- Listen to alarms and respond quickly to prevent downtime.
- Record production data such as cycles, frequency, downtime, and faults using Sherlock.
- Inspect finished product and follow GMP protocols.
- Perform general housekeeping, sweeping, debris removal, and floor sanitation each shift.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience as a machine operator.
- Experience in the food or beverage industry.
- Excellent time‑management, verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable with technology/computers.
- Detail‑oriented, able to multi‑task, and organized.
Position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical manufacturing setting. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, lift up to 50 lb, operate machinery, and use hands and fingers in a wet, humid environment with temperature variations. Exposure to noise, chemicals, and confined spaces as required.
