Nurse - LPN or RN

Employment Status: Full-Time

• Monitors the daily care of all residents
• Performs skilled nursing tasks as defined by company policy and procedure, and as allowed by state law
• Documents observations, concerns, and changes in resident conditions, incidents, and/or accidents, and ensures follow-up documentation until the issue is resolved
• Communicates resident needs and concerns to family members and physicians
• Communicates with family members, physicians, and other outside healthcare providers
• Records and implements physician orders
• Ensures that information and interventions recorded on resident service plans are implemented by Caregivers
• Ensures that Medication Aides maintain an orderly medication cart, medication room, and accurate medication administration records
• Receives reports from caregivers before the end of the shift
• Provides status reports to oncoming staff
• Assists in shift assignments and ensures that duties are completed satisfactorily
• Monitors care staff performance for compliance with policies and quality resident care
• Manages shift coverage when staff call in sick
• Responsible for scheduling and staffing duties as requested
• Handles family and visitor concerns or complaints, documenting issues and actions taken
• Manages minor physical plant issues during shifts, reporting to Maintenance and Administration

• Current state LPN/LVN or RN License if required by State
• Experience working with the elderly in a healthcare setting
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, families, and staff
• Professional and positive representation of the facility
