The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and identifies nursing problems related to individual patient needs. Plans individualized patient care using an interdisciplinary approach and participates in performance‑improvement activities.

• Assess and evaluate patients’ care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care‑planning team.
• Identify nursing problems and plan individualized care using an interdisciplinary approach.

• Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum one year of registered nurse experience (acute care RN experience preferred).
