Job Description & How to Apply Below
Imagine this – you’re standing at the very intersection where innovation meets reality. On one side, our engineers are designing cutting‑edge UAV systems; on the other, production teams are assembling machines that will define the future of defense. As an Electrical Production Engineer, you are the technical backbone of the Electrical Production Department. You ensure that electrical systems and assemblies, such as wiring harnesses, PCB boards, avionics, and system‑level integrations, are built and tested in a repeatable, reliable, and standards‑compliant manner.

You operate at the intersection of Engineering and the shop floor. You translate design intent into clear work instructions, robust test methods, and stable production processes, while feeding real‑world production insights back into Design Engineering.

At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting‑edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission‑critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations.

Create and maintain:

Electrical work instructions

Wiring and assembly instructions (harnesses, connectors, panels)

Production documentation and routings

Support production with:

Electrical assembly activities

Integration of electrical systems into UAVs

First‑time‑Right builds

Electrical Testing & Validation

Define and implement electrical production tests, including:

Continuity and insulation testing

Functional testing

Power‑on checks and system‑level tests

Define and validate test setups, equipment, and acceptance criteria.

Ensure traceability of measurements and test results in compliance with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100).

Quality, Reliability & Compliance

Ensure electrical assemblies comply with:

Design requirements

Aerospace and military standards (e.g., IPC, MIL‑STD, DO‑160‑Advantage)

Perform FMEAs, root‑cause analyses, and corrective actions for:

Electrical failures

Production and test non‑conformities

Work closely with Quality to improve process robustness and prevent recurring issues.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

Act as the point of contact for electrical topics toward:

Design Engineering

Quality Assurance

Procurement (component selection, alternatives, obsolescence)

Production & Integration

Continuous Improvement

Initiate and drive process improvements within the Electrical Department.

Standardize electrical assembly and test procedures.

Capture and apply lessons learned to future builds.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

2‑5 Years of experience in a high‑reliability production environment (aerospace, defense, automotive, or similar).

Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, wiring harnesses, connectors, and crimping techniques, electrical integration and troubleshooting.

Experience with electrical production and test environments.

Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC‑A‑610 / IPC‑WHMA‑A‑620 is a plus).

Comfortable working on the production floor while thinking in terms of processes and structure.

Able to communicate clearly with engineers and production operators.

Practical, structured, and solution‑oriented.

Takes ownership of 'their' electrical processes.
