For our client, Destinus, we are looking for a Supply Chain Engineer.

What You’ll Do

Act as the technical authority within the procurement team evaluating suppliers based on manufacturing capability aerospace standards and production maturity

Work hands on with suppliers during part development and industrialization ensuring designs are robust manufacturable and ready for series production

Review and challenge manufacturing processes tooling choices materials and tolerances to optimize cost quality and lead time

Translate engineering drawings specifications and requirements into clear actionable supplier documentation

Support make or buy decisions by assessing technical feasibility production risks and cost drivers

Lead technical discussions with suppliers during RFQs supplier selection and contract award phases

Drive cost reduction initiatives through design for manufacturability value engineering and process optimization

Collaborate closely with design engineering production quality and supply chain teams to align technical and commercial objectives

Requirements
Must-Have

Engineering degree in mechanical, aerospace, industrial or a related field

5+ years of experience in manufacturing environments with direct exposure to production and industrialization.

Proven track record working with suppliers on technical topics including manufacturing processes materials and cost optimization

Strong ability to read interpret and challenge technical drawings specifications and tolerances

Deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining sheet metal composites or assembly

Experience supporting supplier qualification audits first article inspections and production ramp ups

Ability to identify cost drivers and lead design for manufacturability and value engineering initiatives

Comfortable leading technical discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Experience working in regulated environments with strict quality and documentation requirements

Strong problem-solving skills with a hands‑on mindset in production driven settings

English and Dutch fluency since it's our working language.

Who You Are
You are an engineer with a strong production mindset. You understand how designs become real parts on the shop floor and you are comfortable challenging materials processes and tolerances to improve manufacturability cost and robustness. You enjoy working hands on with suppliers and internal teams taking ownership from prototype to series production in fast paced aerospace environments.
