Mechatronics Engineer – Hengelo
The role involves designing and developing schematics and concepts for new products and maintaining existing systems. The focus is on integrating mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and controls components into an optimal working whole. Administrative and commercial aspects are also part of the role. Tasks vary across projects.

Responsibilities

Design and develop mechatronic machines and systems according to standards and client specifications.

Design electrical installations and schematics in Eplan.

Integrate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control components into a coherent design.

Create technical documentation, bills of materials, user and maintenance manuals.

Develop 3D concepts and convert them into manufacturable 2D/3D drawings in Inventor or Solid Works.

Perform calculations (manual, FEM/Ansys, Excel) to support designs.

Collaborate with colleagues and clients, participate in design reviews, and monitor project progress.

Support production, testing, and customer handovers.

Contribute to safety (RIE) and quality assurance within projects.

Education and Experience

Minimum educational level: HBO Mechatronics or a comparable technical program.

Knowledge and experience with Eplan.

Experience with technical software such as Inventor, Solid Works, ANSYS, or other 3D CAD software.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Mechatronics Engineer or in a similar technical role.

Experience with electrical engineering, hydraulics, and controls is a strong pre‑requisite.

Good command of Dutch and English, written and spoken.
