Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities   Electrical design and development of sensors and high-voltage components for the automotive industry.
Translate customer requirements and specifications into robust, affordable designs for large-scale production.
Lead the technical product development cycle from concept to mass production.
Act as the focal point for electrical/hardware development with the development team, customers and suppliers.
Design products using automotive product-development processes to ensure manufacturability and adherence to stringent quality requirements.
Automate measurement setups in the electrical engineering laboratory.
Participate in sensor calibration procedures and firmware settings for production locations.
Develop product test strategy and oversee design and product validation programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, process engineering, purchasing, supplier quality engineering, project managers and production plants.
Qualifications   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Electro-Mechanics-Mechatronics, or software/firmware.
Experience in power electronics for high-voltage systems or hardware-software interfaces and microcontrollers/PCBs for HV systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is preferred, German and/or French is an advantage.

Experience with component design, customer/supplier interaction and project work.
Background in electronics/electrical circuits and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is an advantage.

Experience with engineering tools such as DFMEA and DFSS.
Familiarity with automotive processes such as APQP, 8D and PPAP.
Willingness to travel abroad to company sites and customers.
