Electrical Design Engineer

You will be responsible for the electrical design and development of sensors and high voltage components for the automotive industry. You will find solutions for customer needs and specifications and translate these into robust and affordable designs for large scale production. Involved throughout the development cycle, from concept to mass production, you will have the opportunity to learn, develop yourself and demonstrate leadership in your tasks.

You will work in an international environment and deal with automotive OEMs, tiers and suppliers.
General Responsibilities   You will work in international project teams on the design of sensors and high voltage products and will be (co-) responsible for the progress of your projects.
You will act as the focal point for electrical and hardware development toward the development team and customers/suppliers on a regular basis.
You will be a key participant in designing our products using automotive product development processes so that they are manufacturable and meet stringent automotive quality requirements.
You will automate measurement setups in our electrical engineering lab.
You will be a key participant in the sensor calibration procedure and firmware settings used in our production locations.
You will be a key participant in the product test strategy and oversee design and product validation programs.
You will work with a cross‑functional team that includes members from Marketing & Sales, Process Engineering, Purchasing, Supplier Quality Engineering, Project Managers and Production Plants.
Experience & Qualifications   Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering with a specialization in Electrical, Physics, Electro‑Mechanics‑Mechatronics or software/firmware.
Experience in power electronics for high‑voltage systems and/or in hardware‑software interfaces and microcontrollers/PCBs for HV systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English (must). Knowledge of Dutch is preferred;
German and/or French is an advantage.

Experience with component design, customer/supplier interaction and project work.

Experience with electronics/electrical circuits.

Experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

Experience with engineering tools such as DFMEA and DFSS.

Experience with automotive processes such as APQP, 8D and PPAP.
Able to travel abroad to our sites and to our customers.

Base Salary Range:  52,900.00
