Are you ready to take your audit career to the next level with a practice that combines technical excellence with proactive client partnership? An ambitious, client-centric accountancy and business advisory firm based in Henley-on-Thames, delivering personalised, pragmatic financial services across accounting, tax, audit and business advisory.

We’re looking for an Audit Seniorto join the expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced audit professionals, support a diverse portfolio of clients and build a reputation for quality, insight-driven assurance work.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Audit Senior, you’ll be instrumental in delivering high-value audit engagements that go beyond compliance. You will:

  • Lead planning, fieldwork and completion of audit assignments for a broad range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to larger SMEs.

  • Manage the audit process end-to-end, ensuring work is delivered on time, to a high technical standard, and aligned with clients’ commercial needs.

  • Build strong client relationships by understanding their business risks and offering clear, practical recommendations.

  • Provide coaching and technical support to junior team members, helping the team grow and learn.

  • Collaborate across service lines (accounts, tax, advisory) to bring joined-up insight to client engagements.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodology and internal quality control.

You’ll play a visible role in shaping a modern audit offering that adds real value, not just ticks boxes.

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who’s already proven themselves in audit and is ready to step up with confidence:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified (or near-qualified with strong experience).

  • Strong experience in UK statutory audit within a practice environment.

  • Sound understanding of UK GAAP and relevant reporting frameworks.

  • Excellent client-facing skills, able to communicate complex issues clearly and constructively.

  • Organised, reliable, and able to balance multiple engagements with precision.

  • A team player who enjoys mentoring less experienced colleagues.

Why This Role Rocks
  • Meaningful responsibility early in your audit career.

  • Opportunity to develop technical and leadership skills in a supportive atmosphere.

  • Work with a collaborative team known for long-standing client relationships.

  • Competitive salary and professional development support.

If you’re ready to own audit engagements that challenge you, build client trust, and sharpen your advisory edge, we want to hear from you.
