If you're an experienced audit professional looking for a role where your technical expertise is genuinely valued, your ideas are heard, and your work has a visible impact, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Our client is a specialist boutique accountancy practice based in Henley, offering a high-quality, personalised service across audit, accounts, and tax to a diverse and interesting client base. As Audit Manager, you'll take a central role in leading audit engagements, supporting your team's development, and helping to shape the direction of a growing audit department.

This isn't a back-seat position. You'll work closely with the Audit Partner, bring real technical depth to complex assignments, and be a key part of how the department continues to develop.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading audit teams on group and international assignments, maintaining quality and compliance throughout
  • Preparing consolidations under IFRS and FRS 102
  • Managing your own portfolio of clients, prioritising workload to meet deadlines and stay within budget
  • Supervising, mentoring and supporting the professional development of junior audit staff
  • Working closely with the Audit Partner on technical audit matters and complex engagements
  • Contributing actively to the growth and improvement of the audit department

What We're Looking For

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience
  • At least five years of experience gained within a practice environment
  • Strong, practical knowledge of UK GAAP and ISAs
  • Proven experience using audit and statutory accounts software
  • Comfortable adapting to new systems and embracing changes in technology and process
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a positive and collaborative approach

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading group and international audit engagements at a senior level
  • Exposure to IFRS consolidations and multi-entity reporting structures

Why Join

Our client offers a supportive and close-knit working environment where individual contributions are recognised and progression is genuinely available. The package includes:

  • Competitive market rate salary
  • Clear opportunity for career progression
  • Life assurance
  • 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), rising by one day per year up to a maximum of 28 days
  • Free on-site parking
  • Access to a corporate reward scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
