Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you a part-qualified auditor looking for a role where your work genuinely matters, your development is actively supported, and your contribution is recognised from day one?

Our client is a well-regarded boutique accountancy practice based in Henley, delivering high-quality audit, accountancy, and taxation services to a varied client base. With a strong reputation built on expert knowledge and close client relationships, the practice is now looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join their growing audit department.

This is a substantive, visible role within a close-knit team. You won't be lost in a large firm structure. Instead, you'll work alongside experienced colleagues, take genuine ownership of your work, and play an active part in the ongoing development of the department.

If you're looking for variety, responsibility, and a real opportunity to progress, this could be an excellent next step in your career.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Conducting audit testing at client sites, applying professional scepticism and sound technical judgement throughout each engagement
  • Upholding audit quality standards in line with UK Audit Regulations and internal firm policies
  • Preparing statutory accounts and drafting tax computations
  • Managing your own workload against agreed deadlines and budgets, including identifying, researching, and resolving accounting and audit queries
  • Working closely with the Audit Senior and Audit Manager to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated engagements
  • Taking a proactive approach to your own continuing professional development through training and hands‑on experience
  • Delivering consistently strong client service across all interactions
What We're Looking For
  • Part-qualified ICAEW (ACA), having completed at least the first year of professional examinations
  • A minimum of one year's experience working within an accountancy practice
  • A solid working knowledge of UK GAAP and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), with the confidence to apply this in a practical setting
  • Familiarity with audit and statutory accounts software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both clients and colleagues
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and developing professionally
Nice to Have
  • Experience working within a boutique or specialist practice environment
  • Openness to adopting new systems and technology as the firm continues to evolve
  • A collaborative mindset and comfort contributing ideas within a small team
Why Join
  • A respected boutique practice with a strong reputation for technical excellence and quality client service
  • A genuinely supportive team culture where your ideas are welcomed and your efforts are recognised
  • Structured training and development opportunities, with clear progression as the department grows
  • A collaborative working environment where your input makes a tangible difference
