Accounting Assistant

Are you a digital-first Bookkeeper who enjoys working with modern, cloud-based accounting tools? We're looking for someone to join our growing team, supporting a wide range of clients with their day-to-day finance and bookkeeping needs using efficient, digital systems.

You'll play a key role in streamlining financial processes and helping clients make faster, smarter decisions.

• Manage client bookkeeping and accounts using cloud-based tools
• Match purchase orders with invoices and reconcile accounts
• Coordinate online bank feeds and process payments
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Record financial transactions accurately and maintain up-to-date records
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve accounting queries

You'll be tech-confident, proactive, and keen to use digital tools to work smarter. You'll bring:

• Minimum 2 years' bookkeeping experience in practice or industry
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software and digital tools (Dext experience a plus)
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, VAT, and payroll compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• A proactive, independent problem-solving mindset
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
