Patient Services Administrator (Bank) Hereford Hospital | Administration | Ad hoc | Part time. Salary £12.84 per hour.

It starts with you. We are looking for a Patient Services Administrator in our Hereford Hospital who will be responsible administering a large volume of email requests from referrals to appointments, ensuring the hospital meets its service deliverables whilst exceeding customer expectations. Preferably you will hold a NVQ level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent and experience of working in a customer facing environment, to help us build a healthier nation.
- To provide a friendly efficient reception service, which involves customer contact both face to face and on the telephone, and provides advice within remit of role.
- To operate a complex switchboard in accordance with agreed procedures.
- To handle queries within the remit of own role, escalating more complex / serious issues to senior staff where required.
- To admit patients to the department and make straightforward appointment bookings and amendments.
- To take payments from patients in accordance with set procedures, processing payments using appropriate processes and systems, and reconciling monies taken daily.
- Provides friendly and efficient customer service.
- Ensure complex administration and support, meets the required standards and timescales.
- Have attention to detail ensuring all data/information is accurate using the appropriate system and format.
- To prepare standard and ad-hoc reports as required and required by the department.
- Handle appointments bookings and changes.
- Co-ordinate availability of rooms and consultants.
- Create, alter or cancel clinics / theatre availability as required to support business needs.
