Business Delivery Lead

Location: Hereford, UK

Contract: Full-time

The role

We are recruiting a Business Delivery Lead (BDL) to own day-to-day execution of the business
.

This role sits at the centre of Alpha 56’s operating rhythm. It is responsible for turning intent into action, ensuring the business commits to the right work, in the right order, and then delivers it.

Key responsibilities Delivery ownership (manage and deliver)
  • Chair and run both the Weekly Plans Meeting and the Weekly Delivery Meeting
  • Own day-to-day delivery execution across programmes, not just coordination
  • Actively resolve delivery issues, sequencing conflicts, and resource constraints
  • Step in where required to unblock work and drive outcomes
Planning & prioritisation
  • Translate strategy and pipeline demand into executable weekly commitments
  • Decide sequencing and trade-offs across delivery, operations, and BD
  • Ensure financial and capacity constraints are respected in all commitments
  • Track commitments, actions, and escalations through to completion
Integration
  • Integrate inputs from:
  • Operations
  • Finance
  • Business Development
  • Technical Delivery (by exception)
  • Ensure decisions are implemented, not just agreed
Governance & systems
  • Act as Secretary to the Executive Board (agenda, papers, actions, follow-up)
  • Own the coordination of CRM, business MI, and the operating rhythm of the business
  • Implement Executive Board decisions across the organisation
Bid & commercial support
  • Support bid delivery through coordination, compliance, timelines, and inputs
  • Ensure bids are credible and executable from a delivery perspective
  • This role does not own capture or pricing
