I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 contractor with a strong national presence and an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong secured order book, they are looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The RoleAs Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of projects across defects, fit-out, and modular schemes. Projects will vary in scale and complexity, providing excellent exposure and the opportunity to broaden your experience within a supportive commercial team.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably, efficiently, and in line with contractual requirements.
Responsibilities- Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects or work packages
- Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and appointment
- Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts
- Preparing and submitting valuations and applications for payment
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Working closely with operational teams to drive project performance
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Experience working for a main contractor (ideally Tier 1 or Tier
2) - Background in fit-out, modular construction, refurbishment, or defects projects preferred
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC/JCT)
- Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress
- Salary £50,000 - £57,500
