Herefordshire Council are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Highway Structures Inspector to join our Highways Maintenance Team. If you have a passion for structures this is the role for you! As a Highways Structures Inspector within our team, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain and protect Herefordshire’s highway structures network, ensuring it remains safe, resilient and fit for the future.

You will undertake General and Principal Inspections of bridges and other highway structures, identify defects and record accurate asset information within our Bridge Management System. Your findings will help inform maintenance priorities and the commissioning of repair works ensuring our assets are managed effectively and efficiently.

Working closely with colleagues, contractors and external stakeholders, you will assist in the delivery of maintenance and improvement projects, providing site supervision and ensuring works are completed safely to specification and in compliance with relevant standards.

You will also support the wider Highway Maintenance team by providing specialist technical advice on bridge and structures-related matters, helping to develop and deliver programmes of work that improve the condition and performance of our highway assets.

• Salary range of £32,062 - £36,363 per annum
