About The Role

Job Title: Delivery and Improvement Officer – interim agency role with Hoople Recruitment
Contract: 3–6 months (temporary)
Location: Plough Lane / hybrid working
Hours: Full time (37 hours)
Rate: £18.85 per hour

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client, supporting a key period of transformation and improvement across the directorate, including adult social care.

As a Delivery and Improvement Officer, you will play a vital role in coordinating delivery of the Community Wellbeing Transformation Strategy. Working across a range of programmes and projects, you will support planning, governance, reporting and continuous improvement activity.

This role offers the chance to work at pace in a collaborative environment, engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to meaningful improvements in services that support residents across Herefordshire.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting the delivery of transformation programmes and service improvement plans
  • Coordinating project activity, including governance, reporting, risk management and documentation
  • Working closely with Senior Responsible Officers to track progress and outcomes
  • Developing reports, briefings and decision-making documentation
  • Engaging with stakeholders across services to drive continuous improvement
  • Supporting workshops, meetings and programme communications
About you

You will bring experience of working in a fast-paced project or programme environment, with strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of project management approaches and governance frameworks
  • Experience supporting complex programmes or transformation activity
  • Strong analytical, communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
  • A proactive, collaborative and solution-focused approach
  • Experience with in local government or adult social care would be highly advantageous.
