Herefordshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic Information Governance Support Officer to support the administration processes and workload within our busy Information Governance Team. The Information Governance Team is responsible for delivering the council’s strategy for meeting statutory requirements around managing information.
Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations requests and other information requests from the public.
- Support the wider Information Governance team with the delivery of the council’s Information Governance policy and framework.
- Work with and directly support the Information Governance Manager, Data Protection Officer and other team members.
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Work to deadlines and handle confidential information appropriately.
- A good educational background, preferably to A-Level standard.
- Demonstrable recent and continuing professional development.
- Experience working within Information Governance or administration.
- Ability to work in a complex environment while managing changing priorities.
- Competitive salary range of £28,142 – £32,061 pro rata.
