The role of Specialised Cardiology Physiologist/ Clinical Scientist is to provide a high quality, patient focused, efficient Cardiac Physiology service within Wye Valley NHSTrust., The post holder will have a high level of sensitive and effective communication skills with patients, their relatives and carers, staff and colleagues in the multidisciplinary team as required to fulfil the duties of the post particularly in critical clinical situations.
To work as an independent practitioner of the Cardiology team
To be BSE accredited, able to perform and report own echocardiograms and to amend and validate junior physiologists echocardiogram reports (or be working towards)
To provide a highly specialised technical service in all aspects of Echocardiography and carry out the full range of techniques currently in use including transthoracic and transoesophageal echo, tissue doppler and strain rate imaging.
