Receptionist, Healthcare

Receptionist – Hereford Hospital – Permanent – Part Time – £25,038 pro rata – 6 hours per week (Saturday PM 14:30‑20:30)

• Help people feel comfortable when they visit the department.
• Use empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships.
• Answer the phone, deal with enquiries and book appointments.
• Welcome patients in person, directing them to the appropriate changing or waiting rooms.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the department runs smoothly.
• Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets and terms and conditions.

• Strong communication, IT and keyboard skills.
• Ability to explain sensitive or complicated information clearly, sympathetically and simply.
• Experience working in healthcare administration or on a reception desk is preferred.
