Radiology Administrator​/Receptionist

To be responsible for providing an effective service for all patients referred to the Radiology Department. The successful candidate must be flexible, forward thinking and proactive and require a commitment to ensure we provide a high quality service to our patients.

This is a challenging role which requires excellent communication and empathy skills. To contribute to the delivery of a high quality Radiology Service across the Trust and Community. The position is 30 hours. We have a variety of shifts. The hours will include evening, weekends and all Bank Holidays as we work 365 days a year, although this is worked on a rotational and fair basis.

The successful candidate will be required to work at both the County Hospital site and the Community Diagnostic Centre,

• To work together with other staff to promote a smooth and efficient work flow through the department in which he/she is based.
• To provide cover on Reception which includes working across both sites (County Hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre), in line with service requirements and demands.
• Register patient attendances and any appointment information onto the Radiology Information System (CRIS) and any other relevant IT systems.
• To assist the Radiology Admin Manager in undertaking regular reviews of the office protocols and guidelines by providing advice on changes in working processes.
• To undertake any other clerical duties that may be necessary for the speedy progression of both results and patients through the department to include secretarial support as required
