Location:
Hereford (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite per week)
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
Clearance: SC Clearable - Sole British Nationals only
CPS Group are supporting a global IT consultancy who are looking to grow their Dev Ops function due to an influx of new projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dev Ops Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team, working on complex projects across the UK Defence and Government sectors.
The Role:
* Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS.
* Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, using technologies such as Docker and Helm.
* Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
* Implement infrastructure monitoring, security and compliance measures.
* Optimise infrastructure for performance, scalability, availability and cost.
* Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
* Support and mentor junior members of the Dev Ops team where required.
Required Experience:
* Experience in a Dev Ops or Cloud Engineering role.
* Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
* Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and infrastructure automation.
* Knowledge of CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code, such as Jenkins, Git Lab and Terraform.
* An understanding of secure infrastructure, monitoring and high-availability environments.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Defence or Government project experience is highly desirable but not essential.
Security Clearance Requirements:
* Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be eligible for SC clearance and be a sole British national.
* Candidates must also meet the relevant UK residency requirements for clearance.
