Your new role Reporting directly to the Transactional Finance Manager, you will lead a team of up to three Billing Administrators responsible for managing the complete billing lifecycle of customer contracts team's responsibilities cover everything from the creation of new customer accounts and contract set-up through to contract amendments, agreement changes, agreement terminations and ongoing customer billing. Whilst the team handles the day-to-day operational workload, your focus will be on leadership, coaching, prioritisation and ensuring processes are followed consistently.
Duties will include:
Leading, motivating and supporting a team of billing professionals. Managing team performance, productivity and service levels through KPIs and regular feedback. Creating structure and consistency within the billing function. Supporting the team with complex billing queries and escalations. Ensuring contracts, billing schedules and account changes are processed accurately. Monitoring workloads and ensuring priorities are managed effectively. Building strong working relationships with colleagues across finance, sales and operations.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working. Supporting the implementation of controls and best practice procedures. Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders relating to billing activities. This role would suit somebody who enjoys leading people, improving team performance and creating well-organised processes within a busy transactional finance environment. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience leading a billing, accounts receivable, sales ledger or revenue team.
Strong people management and coaching experience. Experience managing KPIs, performance and team workloads. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work within established processes whilst identifying opportunities for improvement. A firm but approachable management style with a focus on supporting and developing team members. Experience working within a high-volume transactional environment. What you'll get in return Hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home Salary up to £50,000 FTE (experience dependant) Flexible start and finish times.
