Sewing and Embroidery Machine Operators
We are seeking Sewing Machinists and Embroidery Machine Operators to join established manufacturing operations based in South Hereford and South Shropshire. These roles sit within structured, quality-led production environments focused on delivering high-specification textile and webbing-based products. Opportunities are available for experienced machinists as well as individuals with machine operating experience who are keen to develop specialist skills, with training provided where required on permanent and temporary to permanent basis
What You Can Expect
* Competitive hourly rate up £29000 per annum, dependent on experience
* Full-time hours permanent and temporary-to-permanent
* Monday to Friday working patterns
* South Hereford site offering: 7:00am – 4:00pm
* South Shropshire site:
Rotating shifts
* Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
* Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:30pm (8:00pm finish on Friday)
* Regular Saturday overtime during peak production periods
What You Will Be Doing
* Operating industrial sewing machinery including programmable pattern machines, bar tackers and lockstitch machines
* Operating electronic embroidery machines to produce branded and decorative finishes
* Operating webbing cutting machinery where required
* Selecting and applying appropriate machine programmes in line with product specifications
* Working from detailed work instructions, technical drawings and production documentation
* Adjusting machine settings to suit varying materials, threads and finish requirements
* Conducting quality inspections to ensure products meet defined standards
* Maintaining efficient workflow and supporting daily production targets
* Carrying out routine cleaning, oiling and basic preventative maintenance of machinery
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safety-compliant working environment
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist, Embroidery Machine Operator or within a manufacturing environment
* Experience operating industrial sewing or embroidery machinery preferred
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
* Ability to work accurately and consistently to production deadlines
* Basic computer skills to support machine programming and interface use
* Flexible approach to shifts and overtime, including Saturdays during busy periods
