QA GENERAL INSPECTOR – ROTHERWAS, HEREFORD

Based at our production facility at Rotherwas, due to continuing growth of the company, an opportunity has arisen for a Quality General Inspector to join the team. Working in close association with Quality, Production & Production Engineering staff, you will demonstrate compliance with regulations and continue to ensure high quality standards are met through manufacturing.

Previous QA experience is essential. The role requires the ability to read and fully understand engineering drawings, and a strong attention to detail.

• Ensure all products are made to the standard specification set by the design department.
• Work with the chief inspector to ensure that all assemblies and sub‑assemblies are made in accordance with production documentation and drawings.
• Undertake internal audits as required.
• Manage FAI reports and assist with measurements if required.
• Complete customer questionnaires.
• Inspect products at all stages of assembly, including printed circuit boards and soldering joints as/when required.
• Log failures onto PC for weekly analysis and review.
• Maintain a clean and tidy inspection area at all times.
• Perform goods‑in inspection as/when required.
• Inspect machined parts and assemblies made in house and by subcontractors as/when required.
• Oversee stage inspection of all work produced within Techtest/Techdev departments as/when required.
• Be fully aware of company standards and raise change notices as required.
• Write WPs and procedures relating to quality assurance matters.
• Maintain a database relating to pass or reject items.
• Order new parts/tools when required.
• Execute any other reasonable task asked by the Quality Manager.
• Drive a company vehicle when required for company business.

• Full‑time position.
• Hours based on a 40‑hour week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.
