Production Operative - Post Chill

Overview

Avara Foods, one of the UK’s leading food businesses supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants, is recruiting for a Permanent Postchill Operative at its Hereford site. No experience is required; full training is provided.

40 hours per week.

• Week 1 – 0730 to 1630 Monday to Friday
• Week 2 – 1545 to 0045 Sunday and 1630 to 0130 Monday to Thursday J&F

• Weigh and label products in steel bins, ensuring they are sealed and covered.
• Maintain safe operation of pallet trucks.
• Transport products to dispatch as required.
• Perform manual handling, including lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.

• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
• Experience with in a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

• £13.67 per hour
• Additional £0.75 per hour
• 24 days holiday allowance (full year)

• Earn a minimum of £576 per week
