Healthcare Assistant – Outpatient and Pre‑OP Assessment Unit

This role is based in the Outpatients and Pre‑OP Assessment Unit at Nuffield Health Hospital, Hereford. It is a bank (ad‑hoc) part‑time position with a rate of £12.84 per hour
.

• Assist colleagues across a range of specialties, including Orthopedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, Psychiatry and Urology.
• Support smooth day‑to‑day operations of clinics and manage changing priorities.
• Assist consultants and registered nurses with procedures such as dressings and wound care.
• Carry out pre‑assessment questionnaires face‑to‑face and over the phone.

• NVQ Level2 or3 in Health and Social Care (mandatory).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a team‑oriented environment.
• Patient‑care experience and IT literacy.
• Ability to work flexibly on a bank basis, adapting to variable workloads.
