Job Details
  • Job Title: Social Worker (Adult Social Care)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Hereford City & Bromyard
  • Hours: 37 hours
  • Salary: £36,363 to £40,777 + £3,000 welcome payment
  • Closing Date: Tuesday 21 July 2026
Qualifications
  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England and holding a qualifying degree.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of current legislation and guidance.
  • Experience with adult populations including those with physical and learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults.
  • Drive to pursue further qualifications in Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct Care Act Assessments and person‑centred support planning.
  • Perform Mental Capacity Assessments and Section 42 Enquiries.
  • Apply a strengths‑based approach to empower individuals and champion independence.
  • Engage in CHC and s117 work to ensure seamless support.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to build partnerships.
  • Participate in regular supervision and pursue professional development opportunities.
