Salary: HC8 £ 36,363 - £40,777 (plus £5,000 market rate supplement per year £41,363 - £45,777)

Introduction

Our Children with Disabilities service is made up of two teams. Each team comprises of a Team Manager, Social Workers and Family Support Workers. We also have a Managing Practitioner who works between both teams and provides support and expertise to staff, as well being the lead Child Protection Practitioner for Children with Disabilities.

We are proud of our restorative approach to social work - a way of working that is firmly embedded in our team culture and management style. The Role

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with disabilities and their families? We are looking for a skilled and committed Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team.

In this vital role, you will work directly with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, along with their families, to ensure they receive the right support at the right time. You will complete holistic assessments, plan and coordinate services, and work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and independence. Your work will focus on enabling children to thrive and reach their full potential, with their voice and experience at the centre of everything you do.

About You
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes
  • Skilled in assessment, planning, and coordinating multi-agency support, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are fully understood and met
  • Committed to working collaboratively, inclusively, and creatively with children, families, and professionals from health, education, and social care
  • Resilient, reflective, and confident in managing complex situations and making child-centred decisions
  • Able to work effectively within a supportive and specialist team environment, contributing to a culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Registered with Social Work England and hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

  • Salary range of £36,363 - £40,777 per annum
  • Market rate supplement: £5,000 per annum
