This position is open to entry‑level candidates. We recognize that the Project Engineer role is often a starting point for a career in construction project management, and we are willing to train someone who demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and a strong willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, attentive to details, and able to think ahead, ask questions, and follow through. You do not need to arrive knowing every aspect of the job, but you should be ready to take ownership of your work and grow into the position.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with estimating electrical work for retrofit and new construction projects, including reviewing drawings, performing material takeoffs, obtaining vendor quotes, and developing labor and material costs.
  • Assist with reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Support project scheduling, material procurement, delivery tracking, and coordination with field teams.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including requests for information (RFIs), submittals, meeting notes, and progress reports.
  • Assist with tracking project costs, change orders, and outstanding action items.
  • Communicate with project managers, field personnel, vendors, and clients to clarify requirements and help resolve issues.
  • Monitor project progress and help support safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals.
  • Maintain organized project records and assist with closeout documentation.
  • Help improve company processes and learn the tools used to estimate and manage electrical construction projects.
  • Pitch in beyond your primary responsibilities when needed to support the team and keep work moving.
Preferred Qualifications

The following are a plus, but none are required to apply:

  • Experience in project engineering, project management, project planning, or construction coordination.
  • Experience estimating electrical work for retrofit or new construction projects.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, industrial facilities, or data center construction.
  • A degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field, or relevant trade experience.
  • Experience reading electrical drawings, performing material takeoffs, reviewing specifications, or working with applicable codes and standards, including the NEC.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, estimating software, CAD, or similar tools.
  • Previous experience working with clients, field personnel, vendors, or construction teams.
