Physical Therapist Assistant – Regency Pacific Management

. This professional position assigns clinical responsibility in an assigned facility under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role includes direct patient care, administrative duties, and adherence to state-specific laws governing home‑care physical therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Follow the plan of care; instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re‑education, gait training, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
  • Observe, record, and report the patient’s response to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising PT, nurse, and/or physician.
  • Instruct the patient, family, caregiver, and other health‑care team members in the areas of therapy where they can assist the patient.
  • Visit patients according to the Plan of Treatment; complete a daily note for each visit.
  • Participate in developing the Plan of Treatment as needed, communicating with the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Adhere to Therapy Standards of Practice for all patients.
  • Report to the Physical Therapist information related to the patient’s progress, complications, and/or response to treatment.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in performing procedures, tests, and complex treatment to ensure safe, effective evaluation and treatment of patients.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Washington.
  • Ability to take direction from registered therapists and other team members to promote patient treatment and safety.
  • Capability to work independently with periodic support and direction (daily or less).
