- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- At least 1 year of experience in interventional radiology and/or cath lab environments
- Demonstrated experience operating fluoroscopy equipment and scrubbing interventional cases
- Current Oregon licensure issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
- ARRT certification with RT(R) credential
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification, or ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire
- Strong understanding of radiation safety, sterile technique, vascular anatomy, and procedural imaging
- Ability to provide culturally responsive, age-specific, physical, and psychosocial patient care
- Preferred: Three or more years of interventional radiology or cath lab experience, including monitor responsibilities
- Preferred: RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science or Medical Imaging, and bilingual English-Spanish communication skills
- Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging systems during diagnostic and interventional vascular, nonvascular, and cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Prepare imaging rooms, verify equipment readiness, optimize patient positioning and image quality, and send completed images to PACS.
- Apply ALARA principles and follow all radiation safety, regulatory, and departmental policies.
- Serve as a scrub technologist when assigned by preparing sterile instruments, guide wires, catheters, sheaths, embolic materials, and procedural trays.
- Anticipate physician needs and support efficient procedural flow during interventional radiology and cath lab cases.
- Serve as a monitor technologist when assigned by recording hemodynamic data, pressures, ECG, oxygen saturation, procedural events, supplies, contrast usage, and device deployment.
- Assist with patient identification, procedure verification, timeout processes, positioning, monitoring setup, and pre-procedure preparation.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to verify allergies, NPO status, renal function, and other factors relevant to safe contrast administration.
- Support sedation-related monitoring under the direction of nursing and medical staff, respond to changes in patient condition, and assist with sheath pulls and vascular access management as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, communicate effectively with the procedural team, and enter charges when required.
- Restock supplies, monitor inventory and expiration dates, assist with room turnover, and prepare procedure rooms for subsequent cases.
