DescriptionThe Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team is a project management and execution group that manages construction activity within operational data center spaces. They focus on critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling across data centers worldwide. These activities fall outside the scope of standard construction delivery and regular preventive maintenance.
We are seeking an energetic Data Center Project Manager to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for project oversight, reviewing all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architecture. A strong understanding of these systems is required, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and act on data from various teams.
A day in the life:
Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers, prioritize activities to support capacity availability and safety, and work on projects locally and globally.
AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team supports all AWS data centers, ensuring continuous access to the services. You'll collaborate with software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers across AWS.

Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of vendor management experience
- 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment
- 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
- 5+ years of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in vendor management
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- 3+ years of construction or project management experience
- Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License
- Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent
- Experience in construction or project management

Compensation:
The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market, based on location and experience. Additional compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits. This position will remain posted until filled. Applicants should apply via our internal or external career site.
