Rack Decom Manager

• Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly
• Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching and creating documentation
• Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, to include emergency projects, change management and maintenance window support, and potential off‑hours and on‑call needs
• Host weekly staff meetings
• Guide, train and educate data staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
• Manage a diverse team of technicians with varying skillset to complete tasks and deliverables across small to large‑size projects
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
• Maintain the on‑call schedule coordinating absence and vacations
• Recruit and train decom technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
• Write and deliver performance reviews for leadership staff
• Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 2+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience
• 2+ years of team leadership experience

• 1+ years of data center experience
• Experience analyzing metrics to drive business improvements
• Experience representing your team or technical area to senior management
• Experience organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
