Gray Construction is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Portland, OR team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of three years related experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications; knowledge of scheduling software is a plus.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented individual with a passion for collaboration and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor project progress using QMS, including scheduling, estimating, and budgeting.
  • Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid solicitations.
  • Research options and regulatory information as needed.
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials, ensuring quality and budget compliance.
  • Review and approve invoices and change orders.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure scope coverage.
  • Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawings.
  • Relocate to job sites if required, to oversee procurement and construction practices.
  • Attend weekly job site meetings and prepare project reports.
  • Maintain organized project files and communicate project status effectively.
  • Enforce Gray’s safety policies on site.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Physical Demands & Work Environment

    The role requires standing, walking, sitting, manual dexterity, reaching, and communication. Lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs. The environment includes office settings and job sites, with potential exposure to various conditions and hazards. Overtime and travel may be necessary.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Indirect supervision of subcontractors and field personnel.

    Compensation

    The estimated salary range is $100,000 - $125,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
