RN PACU (Recovery Room)

PACU

o Operates until approximately 11:30 PM

o Staffed with two nurses Monday–Friday

For current PACU/Day Surgery openings - we would not require call as it is difficult to train to in a standard 13 week contract.

• Current specialties: GYN. GEN, GI/ENDO, URO, IR, VASCULAR, ORTHO, OPTHAMOLOGY, ENT.
• Patient population: pediatric through adult.
• Phases: pre-op, PACU, post-op, extended recovery.
• Preferred qualifications although not required: bilingual, USGIV trained, NIHSS certified, sedation certified, preceptor/charge RN trained
• Scheduling: most staff work M-F, although we do have a high need for Saturday coverage for elective block time, so having candidates willing to work Saturdays is greatly beneficial
• Equipment:
  Epic, Spacelabs, Urine POC testing, POC testing, etc

Active OR RN license Preferred or Pending OR license 2 years minimum previous PACU experience BLS/ACLS/PALS TNCC 5x8 Mon-Fri
